Asbestos

Q: When do I need an asbestos inspection for work on residential properties?

A: Currently, DEQ requires an asbestos inspection for residential building demolition, per the criteria in this document.

A2: Landfills in the state of Oregon will not accept building material waste without an asbestos survey, per the criteria in this document.

A3: In order to comply with OSHA requirements for employee exposures to asbestos or hazardous materials, a survey should be performed unless materials are to be assumed asbestos-containing.
